BACKGROUND CHECK:
The CBSA and USBA will now do a background check. Once the background check is completed, you will receive an email letting know you are ready for the interview process. The email will ask you to choose a date for the interview. Those dates can be far off- several months away!

Let us know that you received your email confirming that you are ready for the interview. Don’t pick a date! Instead, email us at nexus@jccmontreal.org that you received the email for the interview. We will add you to our community blitz, which will save you months of time!

Wait for our email letting you know the date of the blitz. On that day, you’ll present for your interview, and once you’re approved, you’re done! Welcome to the Nexus Line!

U.S. citizens, U.S. lawful permanent residents, Canadian citizens, and Canadian lawful permanent residents are eligible to apply for membership in the U.S./Canada NEXUS program.
A child under the age of 18, must have a parent or legal guardian’s consent to participate in the program.
If you are approved to participate in NEXUS, you will receive a radio frequency identification card to use when entering the United States and Canada at designated NEXUS air, land and marine ports of entry.
HAVING NEXUS WILL HELP YOU SAVE TIME AND SKIP THE LONG LINES AT BORDER CROSSINGS.
Membership in the NEXUS program allows you to reduce your wait times at designated ports of entry by:
- using dedicated processing lanes at land border crossings,
- using NEXUS kiosks when entering Canada,
- using Global Entry kiosk when entering the United States
The application-processing fee of US $50 per adult applicant is non-refundable. Children under the age of 18 must also apply and, if eligible, are admitted to the program free of charge. Once approved, membership is valid for five years.
IMPORTANT: ONCE YOU APPLY YOU WILL RECEIVE A PASSID FOR EACH MEMBER OF YOUR GROUP THAT APPLIED. EMAIL EACH “PASSIDS” TO NEXUS@JCCMONTREAL.ORG TO RECEIVE THE JCC EXPEDITED SERVICE.

Les citoyens américains, les résidents permanents légitimes des États-Unis, les citoyens canadiens et les résidents permanents légitimes du Canada sont admissibles à l’adhésion au programme NEXUS États-Unis/Canada.
Un enfant de moins de 18 ans doit avoir le consentement d’un parent ou d’un tuteur légal pour participer au programme.
Si votre participation au programme NEXUS est approuvée, vous recevrez une carte d’identification par radiofréquence que vous pourrez utiliser pour entrer aux États-Unis et au Canada aux postes frontaliers aériens, terrestres et maritimes désignés dans le cadre du programme NEXUS.

L’adhésion au programme NEXUS vous permet d’éviter les longues files d’attente aux points d’entrée désignés :

- en utilisant les kiosques NEXUS pour entrer au Canada
- en utilisant le kiosque Global Entry pour entrer aux États-Unis
Les frais de traitement de la demande de 50 $ US par candidat adulte ne sont pas remboursables. Les enfants de moins de 18 ans doivent également soumettre une demande et, s’ils sont admissibles, ils sont acceptés gratuitement dans le programme. Une fois approuvée, l’adhésion est valable pendant cinq ans.
IMPORTANT : UNE FOIS QUE VOUS AUREZ SOUMIS VOTRE DEMANDE, VOUS RECEVREZ UN NUMÉRO D’IDENTIFICATION PASSID POUR CHAQUE MEMBRE DE VOTRE GROUPE QUI A SOUMIS SA DEMANDE. ENVOYEZ VOS NUMÉROS PASSIDS PAR COURRIEL À NEXUS@JCCMONTREAL.ORG POUR BÉNÉFICIER DU SERVICE ACCÉLÉRÉ DU CCJ.
