Rabbi Saul Emanuel and other members of the JCC recently attended the CIJA Words and Deeds Leadership Award dinner held at the palais des congres. The Words & Deeds Leadership Award is an undertaking by the Centre for Israel and Jewish Affairs (CIJA) often in collaboration with Jewish Federations across Canada. It was an elegant, tasteful and dignified event, attended by hundreds of people.
Rabbi Emanuel was exceptionally proud of MK Canada’s Kosher Certifier’s mashgichim, Reb David Bensousan and Reb Alon Hamburger who helped coordinate the food with its myriad of details, for such a massive evening.
Those who are able to do their tasks quietly and with little fanfare are the best of the best in the world of mashgichim.
The spectacular, chic and plentiful food and luxurious ambiance made for a very memorable evening. This year’s CIJA honoree was Charles Sirois, founder, controlling shareholder and chair of Telesystem, a company that has been the driving force behind some of the country’s most compelling entrepreneurship success stories.
